The Serafins herald spring at Stonegates - 4:30pm on Thursday, April 3

You will hear Vivaldi’s iconic “Spring” from The Four Seasons, Haydn’s Frog Quartet, Debussy’s Claire de Lune for solo piano, a lovely cello sonata by Telemann (with harpsichord). Like last season’s sell-outs, a sumptuous reception by acclaimed chef Darragh Matheson follows each 60-minute performance.
Featured performers: Read Gainsford (piano), Gabriel Benton (harpsichord), Guang Wang (cello), Hal Grossman and Kate Ransom (violin).
Tickets ($35) on sale HERE NOW (includes premium reception). SEATING IS LIMITED.

On Sunday, April 6th at 4pm, The Arts at Trinity brings Serafin once again to their longstanding free series in downtown Wilmington. This program of Serafin roster artists features Hal Grossman in a short, evocative work for solo violin, When Our Home is Gone, by Washington DC based composer Noam Faingold (b. 1984). Faingold’s music has been praised in The New York Times, and on the BBC, and described as “…lyrical…”, “…exhilarating…”, and “…a tour-de-force of Jazz melded with Classical. Serafin cellist, Guang Wang of the acclaimed Vega Quartet will join Mr. Grossman, violist Amadi Azikiwe, and New Zealander pianist, Read Gainsford in Fauré’s Piano Quartet #2. Beethoven is always a winner, and the Serafins offer here his first piano trio when Kate Ransom (violin) takes the stage with her colleagues.

Things heat up in May, when Serafin Ensemble heads back to Grace UMC, joined by special guest pianist, Roberta Rust, up from Florida on May 9th for It’s Classic! - Beethoven, Haydn, and Mozart.
Tickets on sale HERE NOW. (Live; livestreamed)
